Land.
Legumes aka Beans, use 95% less land to grow than livestock. While they are nutrient rich for us, they are very good for the environment too. Legumes convert nitrogen into useful ammonia or nitrates, improving soil fertility and reducing dependence on energy-intensive fertilizers.
Water.
Legumes also use 75% less water to grow than livestock. While it takes 5 gallons of water to product one gram of bean protein, it takes 30 gallons to create one gram of beef or pork protein.#Nutrition
